Preparations

Well, the coutdown is on. Ten days and couting to two major events: one being the first ever school dance I attend in Michigan, and the other being my Birthday...

First things first, though, i have to share: I have once again managed to freak out my parents! I purchased a bottle of black nail polish. This is the first bottle of black polish that I have ever owned. The only reason mom let me get it was because, in the store, she thought it was black. So we get home and she looks at the label, "NYC Colors - Black Cream Lace". "What?!" She cries. "I thought this was brown?" "No, mother." At which point mom looks kind of shocked, you know that look where they just realize all of the sudden that thier kid isn't quite the 5-year-old pink-frilly kid they remeber? ... Well, realize it again? I remeber when I first wore all black, with the makeup and everything... Poor parents, they must have about died. But hey, that's who I am right now, you're only a teenage once, and only the seriously hardcore goths can get away with black after 18. Since I'm obviously NOT hardcore Goth... Well, I have to get it in while I can. <3

Anyway, I AM wearing a champange overcoat on it, so it's not like... Black-black right now. XP

Lol, so anyway, moving on. Going to homecoming... Well, I have my dress, although I am going to look into another one. As it is, I have a knee-length burgandy halter dress, wedge heels with a gold design on the side, and my hair is going to just go up in a clip. I haven't decided on makeup or nails yet, but chances are they'll be black/dark. Like I said, I gotta be me. ESPECIALLY at a school dance, when it won't be too outrageous. If I can find the right dress, the effect will be even cooler, you know, becuase what I really want is... well, if I find it, I'll tell you. Until then, it stays in my head. <3

But yeah. Next topic: Birthday. No party, no presents I guess. But... Well, I just don't really care. Call me apathetic, but... I can't think of a single actual present I really, really want (except the PS2, DDR pad, and DDR games (Dance Dance Revolution Extreme 2 being at the top of my list), but that would be about 200 bucks for the whole thing, so I'm not gonna get my hopes up), so I'll just hold out for the cash and see if I can buy it myself <3 Fifty bucks in the bank right now, I just need 150 more! (*dies* riiight. That's gonna happen soon!)
